Influencer marketing has become an extremely effective way for brands to increase engagement, drive brand awareness, and reach an audience through social media.  If you haven’t been keeping up, head over here for a look at the benefits of influencer outreach in your social strategy.

Facebook is looking to capitalize on this popular trend with the launch of their Brand Collabs Manager. This tool will help connect brands with relevant content creators and through the platform, brands have the option of finding influencers who have similar audiences based on various factors (age, gender, interests). These influencers – who have follower counts ranging from 25,000 to 8 million people – also have access to insights and data, making it easier for brands to assess their actual reach and capacity, helping to find the right match.

It’s currently available to a limited number of brands and business pages, but you can sign up here as a business or influencer to gain access.

Facebook just added Recommendations to Business Pages, which allows users to post a written review and include text, photos, and opinion-related tags. It seems like an effort to compete with Yelp and can help provide more transparent reviews through Facebook.

Facebook’s also adding new event-specific ad options to make promotion easier. Facebook Events has been updated with features for simplifying ticket sales. A new ticket integration will let you sell tickets directly on Facebook and Event Ads will help you promote your event.
