Quiz time!

What’s the most innovative popular social platform?

A. Facebook

B. Instagram

C. Snapchat

D. Twitter

If you said B, you’d be correct (IMO)! In yet another exciting update this month, Instagram has introduced the Quiz sticker to their repertoire.

A smart move on their part. Followers LOVE sharing knowledge and opinions online. As a brand, it’s one of the easiest ways to inspire engagement. Ask a question, and your fans will surely answer. Since the feature was unveiled, it has been utilized left and right!

Take a look at four fun ideas that you can use to inform your own IG story quizzes:

1. Brand FAQ

Whether you’re an individual or brand, it can be fun and insightful to understand how you come across to your fans. Trivia about your company – when it was founded, your best-selling product, your logo, etc. – can be a great way to understand what narratives you might need to highlight in the future on social. Take it as an opportunity to see your brand from another’s perspective; it may just be eye-opening!

2. Propel your Narrative

Quizzes are a creative way to drive home your brand to the consumer in a fun way! Take a look at how Frank Body, a skincare account, used their stories to reinforce how their products are cruelty-free, natural, and vegan!

3. Feature your Products

We’re huge fans of Halo Top here at Gossip Genie. They never fail to be witty, innovative, and of course, delicious! I loved their most-recent set of IG story quizzes, which I was unable to save, but can recreate the idea below. They asked followers to select the correct flavor name, based on the look and ingredients of their ice-creams. All I know is, after I finished the quizzes, I was definitely craving some PBJ Halo Top.

4. Educate your Followers

We love social media not just because it entertains, but because in many circumstances, it educates us as well. General Electric utilized their story quizzes to teach followers about different facets of design and engineering, by following up each question with a fact card, full of related information. This is akin to touring a museum, IG-style, and your fans will love it!
