Success- what does it mean? It means different things to different people. Attaining an unpaid internship that requires you to retrieve coffee for your superiors could be considered a success. Being elected the president could be considered a success. If you stay married for 20 years most people would say that is a successful marriage. Success is all about how you view yourself. Everyone defines success a little differently. Success and happiness do not necessarily go hand in hand but I think if you figure out what your definition of success is, when you achieve it, you will be happy. Maybe being happy is your definition of success. Success to me is loving what I do because what I do is my livelihood. What I do is not just a job, it’s not something I view as a 9 – 5 commitment, it’s what I live and breathe. I believe that with that mentality comes success and happiness.

Don’t get me wrong, not every single day of my life is a social media carnival of rainbowlicious fun and excitement, there are days when I am exhausted and feeling uncreative but thankfully, I have a team to lean on during those days the planets don’t align for me. Success is also a product of believing in yourself. I am not trying to write a self-help blog but if you believe in what you do, it’s obvious.
