Today, I was featured in the cover story of RedEye Chicago. Wanna know how I got there? I saw a tweet from @RedEyeChicago that mentioned one of their editors was looking for people who worked from home for an upcoming story. I tweeted to her, we exchanged a few emails, a phone call, and a photo shoot was scheduled a week later. The rest is history!
Since I’ve started working at Gossip Genie, social media has become my livelihood. I’m proud of all of the accomplishments and media mentions we’ve been included in, solely from our social media outreach.
Jacqui was approached via LinkedIn last month to gain this great story: Magical Marketing Grants all of your Social Media Wishes.
Jacqui was also included in Today’s Chicago Woman February issue because she responded to this message on Facebook: “For an upcoming TCW feature on women business owners, we’d like your input on what do you truly love about business ownership? Email Chris Ruys at chris@chrisruys.com your candid response, your complete name, title and name of your enterprise by this Friday, November 30. Your response should be no longer than 30 words.”
Early last year, I urged Jacqui to enter the Small Business Makeover social media contest by Office Depot. We won by commenting on one of their Facebook posts. And, Jean Chatzky came by on the day all of our new office supplies arrived!
And my favorite mention was when the Saints “re-grammed” my photo for their #InstaGameDay contest to all of their Instagram followers. Who Dat!
