A few weeks ago, LÉMONESSE followed me on Twitter. Curious, because I love lemon water, I visited their website and immediately wanted to try out their product. LÉMONESSE is a premium bottled water product that tastes just like a fresh squeezed lemon in your water. YUM. I tweeted to their handle and asked if the Gossip Genie team could sample a few bottles. Within 2 days, we had LÉMONESSE delivered to our office! After we tasted, we all agreed on one thing: Yolanda Foster would approve, and so did we!
This exact type of introduction (LÉMONESSE following me) is one reason why I love Twitter, it makes it easy to engage with your target audience on a one-on-one level. As a social media manager, I spend much of my day on Twitter, seeking out a brand’s target audience and finding ways to engage with them about a certain topic, service or product. The thing that was so great about LÉMONESSE, is they realized the importance of social influence and the value of giving away product to help spread awareness as they were launching in Chicago.
