A few weeks ago marked not only my first day working for Gossip Genie, but my first day at my first job out of college. You could say November was a pretty exciting month for me. Though we only meet in the office three days a week and work from home the two other days, I have already learned so much about what goes into being a Genie. Here are my top three takeaways from my first month:
- There’s something new every day. Working in social media, you have to be ready to tackle new challenges daily and ready to think on your feet – you never know what might come your way!
- There is no such thing as too many questions (or dumb ones). I think I asked a few hundred questions in my first few weeks (and still do), as there is so much detail that goes into everything – the more questions the better!
- Team work makes the dream work. The Gossip Genie team is small but mighty, with a very collaborative work environment. Everyone is bouncing ideas off of each other, and new ideas are always welcomed. Not to mention, we eat lunch every day together as a team – a great way to learn more about each other!
Though I have only been with Gossip Genie for a month, I already feel like a part of the team. I can’t wait to see what the future of social media management has in store for me!
