It’s very rare that a person doesn’t feel the need to get more organized. If you’re already organized (read: you’re an organizational freak), chances are, you like reading things about how to become even more organized. I think everyone can agree that work is a little more fun when you don’t feel like a chicken running around with its head cut off because you forgot to do something. Here are 3 organizational tools that will help eliminate the “oh crap, I forgot to do that” feeling:
Asana
We swear that this tool was created from organizational gods. Asana is a web and mobile application designed to help teams organize, track, and manage their work. This tool can be used individually or with a team, you can create and assign tasks with due dates, get email reminders when a due date is approaching, create various projects, have team conversations, and so much more. So far, this is the best free tool that I have found to manage an overloaded to-do list.
Slack
Do you need an efficient way to stay in contact with your colleagues? Slack is the best way to communicate. Think of Slack like AIM for your team (but without your embarrassing screen name from back in the day). Whether you work remotely or in the office, Slack is the go-to for sharing files, messaging team members, keeping up-to-date with the latest news, and of course, to root on your workmates. 😊
Stickies
These are exactly what they sound like – They are sticky notes for your computer. Sometimes we just forget to do things not because we aren’t organized, but because we don’t write it down right away. These notes serve as reminders. They are on your computer in your line of vision until you delete them. Added bonus: You can change the color of the sticky notes, the font, and the size to create a customizable sticky note experience. Most sticky notes are usually already available on your computer, you just have to find them (Google: How to use sticky notes on your computer). If you have a Mac, go to your applications and scroll down until you see “Stickies.”
We hope these tools help keep you on track. What tools do you use to stay organized? Let us know in the comments.
