Did you catch Instagram’s latest announcement? Instagram introduces → Live Rooms!

Since the pandemic hit, Instagram has been hinting at adding this much-requested feature to give users a greater sense of community. Live Rooms allow users to go Live on Instagram with three other guests at the same time (four people total in a Live). Previously, you could only go Live with one other guest, so this update doubles the number of people you can have in your broadcasts. While it may not be rolled out to everyone just yet, it’s only a matter of time until this new feature hits your screen.

How can this help your brand?
Not only does this feature allow creators and businesses alike to reach and be discovered by new audiences, but as a result, it can help drive sales and allows for engagement with different communities, all in real-time. These types of crossover live stream events aren’t just about creative expression, they’re also a growth strategy. By appearing together in a stream, creators and brands can help build each other’s audiences and intercross their networks. This allows creators and businesses to build their businesses and earn money. On top of allowing viewers to purchases badges in support of their favorite creators going Live on Instagram, Live Rooms is also offering interactive features like Shopping and Live Fundraisers.

So how do you set up a Live Room?
It is very similar to setting up an Instagram Live, but here are four simple steps to start a Live Room:

  1. Open Instagram Stories and swipe left to select the Live camera icon
  2. Add a title for the Live Room by clicking on the icon on the left-hand side
  3. Tap the Room icon to add guests – this is where you will be able to send requests for guests to join or you’ll see a list of people who’ve already requested to go live with you
  4. Tap the live icon to start the broadcast
