‘Tis the Season!

There are approximately 27 days until Christmas and 4 days until Hanukkah begins. While these holidays might feel like they are just around the corner, there is still plenty of time to plan out a holiday campaign for your social media accounts!

Check out some of our ideas below👇

1. Photo Contests

Photo contests are a great way to increase engagement and drive traffic to your page this holiday season. We recommend a photo-vote contest where Facebook users can vote on their favorite entry. This way people are motivated to share their entry with friends so they can collect more votes.

While you’ll need to pick a contest idea relevant to your target audience and brand, some holiday-themed photo contests could include submitting a photo of your Christmas decor or a picture with Santa.

Bonus tip: Have participants submit photos with your brand/product so you can collect user-generated photos for future content at the same time!

2. Giveaways

Spread Christmas cheer and give thanks to your followers by running a series of giveaways on your brand’s Facebook page. These can include product giveaways, promotional giveaways or a combination of both. Giveaways that span multiple days often get the best engagement as fans continue to come back and enter each giveaway.

Additionally, giveaways are a great way to increase end-of-year sales. Giveaways help strengthen relationships with followers by building off the rule of reciprocation– if you give something to your fans, they’re more likely to give back to you.

3. Create a branded holiday hashtag

If you ask me, there are few things in life better than a really good hashtag.

I know I’m not alone in this thought – Instagram posts that have around 7 hashtags are the ones that tend to get the most engagement. We use hashtags to not only categorize our brand, but to reach and connect with new audiences. Because of this, you’d be crazy to not create some branded holiday hashtags this season. Make sure the hashtag is short, sweet and to the point.
