Finding the perfect ratio of engaging and relevant posts can be hard to do when creating content for LinkedIn. This platform requires a professional tone of voice while still keeping users reading rather than clicking through. Here are five types of content you should be posting on your brands LinkedIn pages to keep users reading.

  • Blog Posts
    • Long form content performs best, especially when paired with teasers to draw users attention while scrolling.
  • Third Party Content
    • Be sure to post content from other publishers and brands! Re-posting engaging and reputable content and expose your brand to new users.
  • Native Video
    • Short video, animations, and interviews are a few ways to use video to keep your engagement high. Video has been taking over the social space and it shows no signs of stopping soon!
  • Text Only
    • Visuals are great, but it’s essential to have a good mix of content on your feed. Adding in pure copy is a great way to do this! Sharing tips and tricks, hacks, or a general discussion post will get your followers talking.
  • Photography and Illustrations
    • Authentic images can be showstoppers on LinkedIn! Especially when overlaid with text or branding. These are great ways to encourage visual communication and make a mark.

In addition to these five, LinkedIn has recently launched a native carousel option, where brands can post multiple photos on the app without having to attach a PDF. The intention is to showcase documents and presentations on the app!
